Getting Around

The UNESCO-listed walled centro histórico is compact and best explored on foot. A tourist trolley (El Guapo) loops through the old city. Taxis are cheap and abundant. ADO buses connect to Mérida (~2.5 hr) and Palenque (~5 hr). Rent a car to visit Calakmul or Edzná ruins.
